Your system data stays on your device. Components, wiring, appliances, logs, maintenance, photos and manuals are stored in your own browser. They are not sent to us, and we cannot read them, unless you subscribe to off-device backup or ask for a compatibility check.

What we hold, and why

Data	When	Why
Your system backup (.zip)	Only if you subscribe and press Back up	So you can restore after a lost phone or cleared browser. Stored under a one-way hash of your licence token, not your name.
Email address, billing country, card brand and last four digits	If you subscribe	Held by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
Feature requests you submit	Only when you press Send	To decide what to build. Includes your answer about paying, your browser's user agent, and an email only if you choose to give one.
Component list sent for a compatibility check	Only when you ask for one	Sent to Google's Gemini API to produce the audit, then discarded. Not used to train models.
Standard web analytics	Public pages	Google Analytics 4 measures page views and traffic sources. It runs on the marketing pages and the app shell, and it never receives your system data.
Server logs	Every request	IP address and request line, kept briefly for security and rate limiting.

What we never do

We do not sell your data, to anyone, ever.
We do not use your system data to train AI models.
We do not send you marketing you did not ask for.
We do not collect location. Photos you attach are re-encoded on your device, which strips the GPS coordinates a phone camera embeds, before they are stored anywhere.

Who else is involved

Stripe processes payments and holds your billing details.
Google Cloud hosts the service and stores subscriber backups, in the United States.
Google Analytics measures traffic on public pages.
Google Gemini receives a component list only when you request a compatibility check.

How long we keep things

Backups: the most recent 10, plus deleted versions for 90 days. All of it goes within 90 days of cancelling, or immediately if you ask.
Subscription records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Feature requests: kept until they are acted on or become irrelevant.

Your rights

You can export everything from inside the app at any time, without asking us. You can also ask us to show you, correct, or delete anything we hold, and we will do it within 30 days. Deleting your local data is entirely in your hands: clear the site's storage, or use Restore System Defaults in Settings.

If you are in the EU, UK or California, you have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and objection under your local law. Email us and we will honour them without making you prove where you live.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, subscribers will be told before it takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
